Festival in a Nutshell
Oslo Impro Festival 2025 is a whopping 8 days, but this will be a different kind of festival with different offers each day.
We asked ourselves, if we can re-design our festival from scratch, how do we make a festival that is inclusive to everyone? A festival that has great impro, amazing workshops, brilliant shows—but also casual fun, time to hang out with friends, or have a break when it gets too intense.

Saturday: Carnival!
Oslo Impro Festival will start with a BANG! Carnival Day is an OIF special day with bite-sized workshops, silly fun and games, and a huge gathering for old and new friends. And it’s FREE! You don’t want to miss this!
Carnival Day is a 100% volunteer run day from 11 AM to 5 PM. There is no sign-ups—jump into the activities any time.
Just flying into Oslo? Bring your luggage and meet people before heading to your places of stay.

Sunday: All-Day Workshops & Shows
Sunday is a full day of impro workshops and shows for the public all throughout the afternoon. Let’s get Chateau Neuf buzzing!
We finish our evening in our 1000-seat arena Storsalen — with hopefully the biggest show Oslo Impro Festival has ever seen!

Monday & Tuesday: Study Days
After indulging our Sunday festivities, it’s time to HIT THE BOOKS! We will have full-day intensives if you want to go deep-diving into impro, with the world’s top teachers!
We will also have evening workshops so locals can enjoy festival workshops. There will be no shows these days—but we’ll have late night jams.
If this is your first time in Norway, you can also use this time for a break from impro (with less FOMO) to look around Oslo, enjoy the snowy forest — maybe even fly north to chase the Northern Lights?
22—25
Wednesday—Saturday: Festival Mode
The remainder of the festival will be the traditional festival format you are familiar with: workshops in the daytime, and show in the evening.
On Saturday evening there is the final party! Use your last ounce of energy to dance the night away!

Sunday: No Events
The festival is over! You can rest now or fly home. Oslo Impro Festival loves you! See you in 2026!
